i feel that the reason why some are able to confide w their family, is that they are being close enough, feeling comfortable to.
definitely, that's why the child sees the parents as smth more than a parent, but sometimes as a friend, whom could understand them. that's the problem of current families i guess.
from the past, people believ strongly in the wide gap btw the parent and the young to ensure tat the child will respect the parent. however, this doesn't exist in the current society anymore. For generally most ppl i noe, the more restrictive the parent is, the more rude the child will get. sometimes, parents should just sit down and try t talk and understand their child. remove the barrier of the generation gap, and just listen. When the child grows up, at least he or she noes hu t turn to, and not just flocking outside 24/7 bcoz they find the outside world more appealing and more comfortable.
whatever that happens has to start young. though it doesn't hurts to start when the child is getting older. When the child is younger, parents may apply some stricter methods to make sure the child gets the right message imprinted in their heads, giving them more and more space to think and understand as they grow up. tell a kid logic, and he'll understand it too. dat's definitely true. mayb, parents just shouldn't be so stringent sometimes, when they noe that the child dat dey hav brought up is realli guai de. faith sometimes lies in btw. [but kids sometimes do hav to understand parents dat, the "guainess" of kids these days are getting from gd to bad to crap- all the vulgarities bla bla. so it's a confirm dat they will worry their kids will fall into the wrong web]
